Denise’s BIG Birthday
Dear Maribeth,
I have a Big birthday coming; December 20th no less. I know this is a busy time of year, but this will only happen once! In August I received a huge surprise party that was great. Now it’s the real day and I can’t just let it go by. I would like to know what the night will entail, if I should celebrate on the Tuesday or on a weekend night and really - How much fun can we have?
Signed,
Expiring Eyes
Dear Expiring Eyes,
Well, you certainly sound like a professional partier! Since you asked 3 questions, I am going to apply each card in our spread to one question.
First, “What your night will entail” is the 5 of Pentacles. This shows me that your friends actually feel like family to you. You are a person who prefers to have a few good friends and close relationships rather than many acquaintances. This card is one of hope when things are not going so well. It reminds us of how the power of being together with loved ones can help us overcome bad circumstances. I see this as a great card to remind us of the importance of being with those you love and blessed with good health, especially during the holiday season.
You and your friends have been together through good times and bad and will support each other no matter what. People will come to see you on your birthday if they are not feeling well or even in a blinding snow storm because they know it is important to you.
Which day to celebrate? That guy in the 4 of Pentacles is holding onto what he’s got. You know people are short on funds and time at this time of year, so I interpret this answer to have the celebration on Tuesday. I suggest a house party at a friend’s house where everyone can just chill. A nice subdued, friendly get-together where you can hang out with your friends. And look what’s next!
The Hanged Man! How much fun can you have? You will have so much fun because you are sharing lots of really touching moments with people who care about you. You will have enough time to spend meaningful conversations with important friends and you can truly be yourself. If you want to hang upside down by the rafters, feel free to do so.
In general, all of these cards show me that your idea of a really good time is to bring out the special nature of the people you love and be completely yourself. It doesn’t look like wild-crazy drunken throwing up fun, but it looks like the perfect way to get together with friends around the holidays and experience good tidings, comfort and joy. And be sure to make a very special birthday wish for yourself this year, and write back to let me know how it goes! Happy Birthday!!
