New England winters seem to make many of us wonder why we are exposing ourselves to this weather!
The cards that came up for your reading are the 4 of Cups, the 8 of Swords, and the Page of Cups. Honestly, this doesn’t bode well for a job search. I say that because the suit for work is wands, and there aren’t any. Nor do I see any aces, which would symbolize a new beginning. But let’s talk about what you do have here.
The 4 of Cups is a person who is examining what he has, shown by the 3 cups upright on the grass, and comparing that to a possible opportunity, as shown by the cup being offered by the hand coming out of the cloud. That hand looks much like the Ace of Cups and poses the question, is the grass greener on the other side of the fence? It seems you have a pretty good situation where you are, but you are looking to improve it. There is quite an air of boredom and lack of enthusiasm around the fellow under the tree.
The 8 of Swords portrays a woman who is not taking advantage of the available opportunities before her because she is blind to them. There is quite a lot of potential for you as shown by the castle behind her. You need to open your eyes and look around to see what opportunities are here for you. Sometimes what we need is right in front of us but we are so busy looking elsewhere that we fail to see them.
The Page of Cups shows a young person, looking quite proud of himself for having a fish in his cup. This card in this reading has an air of naïve thinking about it, that you may be hoping to escape a life that seems all wrong but actually has a lot of potential for being just right if you take better advantage of what you have. Happiness is found within you. This young man is focusing on one specific thing, when he needs to step back and see the big picture before making any life altering decisions.
These cards feel like the time is right for you to make a change in your lives, to add some zest to your life, but I don’t see a move or a new job in your immediate future. Just a few more weeks and this winter will be over. You will be able to reevaluate your situation in the spring under a tree at Fort Adams or this summer sitting on First Beach. It will be here before you know it! In the meantime, I would suggest that you try to utilize your available resources in a way that makes you happier and thus create a warmer atmosphere for yourselves at home now.
